I am driven by the discipline of markets and the way careful analysis, precision and continuous learning can help support thoughtful investment decisions.
Alexander Hinkson is an Assistant Trader at Pembroke, where he supports the firm’s trading and investment operations. In his role, he contributes to the execution and coordination of trading activity across Pembroke’s investment strategies, helping ensure that the operational side of portfolio management is carried out with accuracy, discipline and attention to detail.
Alexander brings experience across wealth management and securities lending, giving him a broad perspective on financial markets and the processes that support client portfolios. Before joining Pembroke, he worked as an Analyst at National Bank of Canada in Montreal, where he gained exposure to capital markets, securities lending, risk management practices and the operational infrastructure that underpins institutional investing.
Earlier in his career, Alexander spent more than a year with Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management, first as an Investment Advisor Assistant and later as an Investment Associate. In these roles, he supported portfolio administration, account management and wealth planning activities.
Alexander studied economics at Concordia University, where he developed strong analytical and quantitative skills, including statistical data analysis and economic modelling. As he continues to build his career in investment management, Alexander is pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst designation to deepen his expertise.
