About Pembroke
Pembroke is an independent private wealth and investment management firm. Since 1968, we have served individuals, families, foundations, endowments, and institutions.
Invested in Growth
We focus on quality growth investing, guided by fundamental research, disciplined portfolio construction and a long-term mindset.
Our approach is active and selective—we look for entrepreneurial businesses with strong financials, proven leadership, and clear potential to compound value over time.
With offices in Montreal and Toronto, Pembroke delivers tailored investment solutions alongside integrated wealth planning.
Pembroke is comprised of two entities, Pembroke Management and its subsidiary, Pembroke Private Wealth Management.
Independent Since 1968
Privately held and employee-owned, Pembroke has remained independent for over five decades—free to act in the best interests of our clients at all times and to remain focused on the long-term.
Stable, Long-Tenured Team
Our investment professionals are long-term employees of the firm. Stability, experience and alignment drive consistent decision-making and lasting client relationships.
Research-Driven Discipline
Every investment begins with bottom-up research. Our disciplined approach, refined since 1968, uncovers opportunity and generates long-term results.
Aligned Interests
At Pembroke, our interests are aligned with yours.
This alignment is reflected in how we invest, how we structure our firm, and the companies we choose to own. It also reinforces the long-term partnerships we seek to build.
1. We Invest Alongside You
Our partners, employees, and their families are invested in the same strategies we offer to you. As a group, we are the single biggest shareholders in our strategies.
This means we face the same risks, pursue the same goals, and share the same outcomes. This co-investment approach ensures that our advice and actions are always guided by your best interests.
2. We Back Owner-Led Businesses
We seek out companies where management teams are also shareholders.
Insider ownership is a sign of conviction and accountability. It signals that leadership is focused not on short-term results, but on building long-term value—just like us, and just like you.
3. We Are Independent and Partner-Owned
We do not report to external shareholders or private equity firms. Pembroke is 100% partner-owned.
That independence gives us the freedom to think long term, act with integrity, and prioritize your goals—without compromise.
Together, these pillars create a powerful alignment between you and Pembroke. When our capital is invested alongside yours, we are in this together.
