Matthew Beckerleg is a Partner, Portfolio Manager and Director at Pembroke Management. He co‑leads the firm’s U.S. equity strategies and contributes his expertise to the balanced mandates, applying a sharp focus on growth companies across the information technology and consumer sectors in both the U.S. and Canada. His earlier experience in private equity at Audax Group and mergers and acquisitions at Morgan Stanley informs his disciplined, fundamentals-driven approach to public equity investing.
Matthew draws on his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from MIT Sloan School of Management and Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Columbia University to structure robust investment theses. He believes compelling investment opportunities often lie in early and mid-stage growth companies, where innovation, leadership and scalability converge to drive long-term value. Clients benefit from his experience in both public and private markets, where he looks for sustainable competitive advantage and management teams prepared to execute on long‑term strategy.
Beyond investment duties, Matthew is active in the community. He serves on the Board of the Tyndale Saint-Georges Foundation, an organization that aligns with his commitment to creating lasting value through leadership, mentorship and service.
